Congratulations to Kunstsilo, awarded the Prix Versailles World Title.
This recognition belongs first and foremost to the architects who transformed a historic industrial landmark into a cathedral of culture for the 21st century: Maria Mestres and Magnus Wage of Mestres Wage Arquitectes SLP, BAX and Mendoza Partida, and AS Scenario interiørarkitekter MNIL Architechts. Their integrity in honoring the building's industrial past in transforming with new cultural purpose, created something truly extraordinary.
For Nonspace, this is a moment of immense pride. As the design agency responsible for Kunstsilo's brand, concept, design and communication, and lead designers for the building's signage and wayfinding, we've had the privilege of contributing to a project that demonstrates what's possible when architecture, design, and cultural vision align.
The collaboration itself was special. Working alongside architects who approached every decision with openness and integrity, we could focus on what mattered: creating an experience worthy of the Tangen Collection and the cultural ambitions this building represents.
None of this happens without vision and leadership. Everyone at Kunstsilo, backed by courageous public and private support, understood from the beginning that this could be more than a museum. It could be a place that breaks down silos, invites participation, and makes Nordic Modernism accessible in ways it's never been before.
This is what happens when cultural institutions, architects, designers, and communities commit to something bigger than themselves.
Gratulerer til alle. Kristiansand og Norge!
