Kunstsilo in Kristiansand has received the DOGA Award of Honour – Norway's highest recognition in design and architecture. Nonspace was responsible for wayfinding, signage and interactive visitor experiences throughout the museum.

In January 2026, Kunstsilo was awarded the DOGA Award of Honour, the most prestigious accolade in Norwegian design and architecture. The recognition adds to an impressive list of awards, including Building of the Year 2024, the Concrete Award, being named the world's most beautiful museum, and a nomination for the European Mies van der Rohe Prize 2026.

Kunstsilo is a transformation of a heritage-listed grain silo from 1935 on the Odderøya peninsula in Kristiansand, converted into one of Northern Europe's most innovative art museums. The museum houses the Tangen Collection – the world's largest collection of Nordic modernism – alongside the Southern Norway Art Collection and the Christianssands Picture Gallery. With more than 7,500 artworks and an architecture that unites industrial heritage with contemporary art, Kunstsilo has quickly established itself as an international cultural destination.

The jury behind the DOGA Award of Honour highlights how the project combines the preservation of cultural heritage with radical new architecture, describing Kunstsilo as a testament to the power of architecture to inspire and unite.
