Project
ONiO is a disruptive Norwegian semiconductor tech company, bringing self-powered batteryless technology to the loT market.
To reposition ONiO and establish their brand in the market, we saw the need to focus on clear communication and storytelling, while also creating an intuitive and visually strong website, for the brand to live and grow.
(Work developed under ANTI)
Challenge
Looking at the technical aspect of ONiO and the intricate details that comes with a semiconductor company, we had to be both precise and creative in our copy, telling their story in a way that both engineers and potential investors could get behind, while also visualising the intangible and abstract world of ambient energy harvesting. We saw the potential to help ONiO create a brand that could stand out with a rich visual universe, giving them the opportunity to make their mark as an energetic and future-oriented business.
ONiO specialises in crafting self-powered microcontrollers that run on nanowatts, harvested from their surroundings. This is an industry where visual storytelling is often overlooked, or not prioritised. We saw a great opportunity to create a platform that breaks with the norm of the typical B2B semiconductor category, and position ONiO in a B2C visual landscape. This allowed a showcasing of the consumer end products that its technology could be embedded within.
Solution
We created a rich universe with ONiO placed at the heart of this. A space where the brand could tell its future focused vision through on-point content and data – telling the story both verbally and visually of its ambition and energy for the future.
The new webpage allowed for a thoughtful and intuitive UX-story that strengthened the brand, commanding attention amongst an industry wary of challenging the status quo.
